Yes they are clever. And he knows now that you do not hate him or you would have not helped him. They pick up on positive and negative energy and moods. Now he trusts you and sees you as one of the flock. Still be careful as all these birds can be moody and it takes one wrong move to lose their trust as well as one right one to gain it. Good job. :)
