Are they going to remake The outsiders?

I've herd about the movie being remade, with a hip hop twist to it....WTF is tht??? Thts a terribal idea to remake that movie, i wouldn't go see it i'll sit ther and watch the original on my IPod. me and my friend are big outsiders fans and we both agree we can't picture anyone else playing the greasers. But really, is tht tru?
