Is there a Japanese version of the God of War?

We all know that the Japanese religion known as Shintoism is similar to that of Hinduism meaning that there are a lot of deities each representing something. In Greek mythology, the God of War is Ares whereas the Roman version is Mars, so if the religion Shinto has a lot of deities, I was wondering if they have their version of the God of War and if there is what is his name?
