How can i remove the yellow spots from the wall above my stove?

I found that using Easy of Oven cleaner on the walls in the kitchen takes all the grease off. I have used this in every apartment I ever rented and also in the over head oven vent to clean the filters. It never has hurt the walls and the grease ROLLS off with no scrubbing. Wear gloves and becareful of the odors.
